What is Sol Gathering

Not a conference. Not a festival. A curated retreat-gathering for people shaping what comes next.

A space to step out of the spotlight, remember what's underneath the work, and build real relationships with the people walking a similar path — the ones whose lives are quietly shaping the world.

Mythic illustration of a Ceiba tree with a colorful bird in its canopy, two figures in feathered headdresses kneeling at its base burning copal, pyramids in the distance
The Canopy

We gather in the canopy of the Ceiba.

The tree the Chorotega and Nicarao of this coast and the Maya to the north understood as the axis of the universe: roots reaching the underworld, branches lifting into the heavens, arms held to the four directions.

Yaxché, the Maya called it. The first tree.

What Sol feels like

A living village of experiences.

Held between jungle, ocean and canopy, Sol brings together the elements of a private retreat, a creative summit and an intimate festival — designed for connection, beauty, restoration and meaningful exchange.

For the ones building, creating, guiding and imagining what comes next.

Artists & Performers

Painters, musicians, dancers, performers and creative directors bringing imagination into form.

Founders & Entrepreneurs

Builders of regenerative ventures, cultural businesses and mission-led companies.

Filmmakers & Storytellers

Documentarians, writers and narrative architects giving voice to what matters.

Facilitators & Healers

Practitioners holding space for others — body, breath, ritual, dialogue, transformation.

Cultural Stewards

Caretakers of lineages, traditions, lands and futures — bridging old wisdom and new form.

Community Builders

Convenors, weavers and conveners turning groups of strangers into circles of trust.

This is for you if…

  • You're craving deeper connection beyond surface-level networking.
  • You're carrying a meaningful vision and want to be in a room with others doing the same.
  • You value beauty, nature, art, ritual, honest conversation and intentional community.
  • You want rest and inspiration — not another packed conference schedule.
  • You're open to participate, not just attend.
The Experience

A rhythm — not a schedule. Held by place, people and intention.

A note from the hosts

Hosted with intention.

Sol Gathering is being created as a first edition with deep intention. We're not trying to build another conference, festival or networking retreat. We're creating a small, carefully held space where people shaping culture can meet as humans first — with time to rest, listen, create and build real relationships.

This first circle is being curated slowly and personally. Every application matters, because the people in the room are the experience.

What's included in your Sol pass?

Your Sol pass includes full access to the four-day gathering, all core programming, shared meals, ceremonies, music, movement sessions and full venue access. Accommodation at TreeCasa is not included in the base experience and is offered separately after application approval, based on availability and room preference. Travel to Nicaragua and optional add-ons are also separate.

Approved applicants receive curated TreeCasa accommodation options based on availability and room preference. Rooms range from intimate canopy suites to a ten-person garden house. We do our best to match preferences in the order applications are approved.

Are meals included?

Breakfast is included. Herbal tonics, farm-to-table cuisine, vendor products throughout the four days are not included in your Sol pass.

Who is the gathering for?

Artists, founders, filmmakers, facilitators, healers, storytellers and cultural stewards — people whose work and presence shape culture. We curate for depth, diversity and resonance, not status.

Can I come alone? Do I need to know someone?

Most people arrive on their own. The circle is small and carefully held, so it's easy to land into the group. You don't need to know anyone in advance — many of the deepest relationships come from showing up open.

How do I get to TreeCasa?

Most guests fly into Managua (MGA) or Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR), then transfer by car (around 2.5–3 hours) to San Juan del Sur. We send a detailed travel guide with shuttle, transfer and visa info once your place is confirmed.

Are airport transfers included?

Transfers are not included in your Sol pass, but we can recommend trusted shuttle and private transfer options in the travel guide we share once your place is confirmed.

What's the pace of the four days?

Generous and unhurried. Most days have a soft morning practice, a midday session, a long shared meal, and an evening of music, art or fireside stories. Plenty of unstructured space to rest, swim or walk in nature. Nothing is mandatory.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, reliable Wi-Fi if you need it — and intentional pockets where you don't. The rhythm of the gathering is built around presence, but we know some people are still traveling for work.

What should I pack?

Fun and festive wear. Light, breathable clothing for tropical weather, swimwear, something warm for the evenings, comfortable shoes for nature trails, and anything personal that helps you ground (journal, ceremony attire, instruments, art supplies). A full packing guide is shared with confirmed guests.

Are refunds or transfers possible?

Once confirmed, your place is held for you. If life changes, we work with you on transfers to a future edition. Specifics are shared in your booking details — we believe in treating people, not policies.
